In Q2 TSI completed the migration of Cross Connect to OCI, a next-generation solution designed to meet the demands of modern businesses by combining reliability, security and cutting-edge automation.

Built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), the platform leverages world-class infrastructure and advanced technologies to deliver exceptional performance, scalability, and peace of mind.
Key features include multiple UK data centres, ensuring geographic redundancy and high availability. The platform’s fault-tolerant design, combined with a redundant network and dynamic routing, provides resilience against potential disruptions.
Advanced DDoS attack detection, data encryption (at rest and in transit), and a security-first architecture safeguard sensitive information, enabling compliance with stringent standards.  Automated processes, including data backups, HTTPS load balancing, SSL certificate management, and centralized DNS management (via Cloudflare), further reduce manual intervention while enhancing reliability, while 24/7 monitoring tools guarantee uninterrupted performance.

The Cross Connect platform benefits from Oracle DDoS Protection, enabled across all OCI data centres, mitigating high-load attacks and ensuring uninterrupted service. User access is tightly secured via SSO logins for OCI Console, with limited “break-glass” accounts for emergencies and rigorously controlled user roles to prevent unauthorized changes.

Additional security measures include:

  • Oracle Cloud Guard – Continuous scanning for vulnerabilities, suspicious processes, and open ports, with advanced Web Application Filtering capabilities planned for rollout.
  • APIBAN Integration -Pre-emptive blocking of known malicious IPs protects the platform against emerging threats.
  • Immutable Nightly Backups – Automatically stored in secure object storage, these backups enable rapid recovery with minimal downtime.
  • SSH Key Management – Unique keys are generated per server and securely stored in key vaults, with all access routed through Connection Manager and VPN, ensuring auditability and minimizing attack vectors.

  • Cert Manager – Simplifies TLS certificate management with automated renewal and geo-distribution. Cert Manager also pre-empts challenges posed by shorter certificate validity periods.
  • PHP-FPM Integration – Improved performance, efficiency, and scalability for all customers.
  • Upcoming Remote Database Storage – Provides extended-term storage for CDR and call trace  data, allowing years of retention.
