What guarantees can you provide me with that your structured cabling services are carried out to the highest standard?

Our team of engineers are trained to the highest standard and are highly experienced – most of them have been deploying networks for more than 20 years. But that’s not all. We’re an accredited Excel cabling partner, which means all of our installations are covered by a 25-year product and application warranty, as standard.

What’s the difference between ISDN2e and ISDN30 lines?

ISDN2e circuits provide businesses with two to four lines, enabling them to do two things at once – voice, data, video or fax. It’s possible to add further ISDN2e lines for simultaneous connections and/or data bandwidth and have one or multiple numbers.

ISDN30 lines are very similar to ISDN2e lines. The main difference is that they provide a larger number of channels, making them the most ideal and cost effective option if your business has between eight and 30 telephone lines.

Are my ISDN lines going to be switched off at some point?

Yes, it’s widely reported that the entire ISDN network will be switched off by BT Openreach by 2025, as part of overall plans to migrate customers to a new IP network using SIP trunking.

What’s SIP trunking?

SIP trunking is the next logical step in the evolution of voice communications, with voice calls over the internet providing additional features over and above traditional ISDN and analogue lines.

We offer a number of SIP trunking solutions, all designed to help keep your business communications running once all ISDN networks are switched off by BT Openreach in 2025.

No, we don’t. Although it’s an area we excel in, thanks to the latest technologies and products we use, we’ve been specialising in business communications for more than 20 years. As a result, you can also count on us to provide you with industry-leading structured cabling and connectivity solutions, too.

What are the advantages of Cat 6 copper cabling over Cat 5e?

Ultimately, Cat 6 is stronger when it comes to transmission performance and immunity from external noise. In reality, this means fewer errors and higher reliability for your network, so it’s well worth the 20% or so extra you’ll pay. Analysts and polls suggest that 80 to 90% of new installations will be cabled with Cat 6.

I want to future proof my business. Why wouldn’t I skip Cat 6 and go straight to optical fibre?

It’s certainly an option. If you’re looking to future proof your business, it’s always a good idea to install the best system available. However, an optical fibre system – plus transceivers – costs around twice as much as a Cat 6 installation. What’s more, copper cabling is craft friendly, can be accomplished with simple tools and techniques, and supports the emerging Data Terminal Equipment power standard under development by IEEE.
